\"In<\/a>I edit the Society of IT Management’s magazine In Our View<\/em>, which has previously been available to members and conference attendees. Starting with the issue published today, it is available to everyone to download.<\/a><\/p>\n

This issue includes features on smart places, focusing on Manchester, Bristol and Lancaster, and local government IT in Germany. As usual for Socitm there is a question and answer article with a senior member, in this case Sandra Taylor, head of ICT services at Dudley Council.<\/p>\n

News stories include an interview with London’s chief digital officer Theo Blackwell; HullCoin, a new cryptocurrency awarded for good deeds; and Southend-on-Sea Borough Council’s use of a robot to help deliver social care. There is also a round-up of council IT news from around the UK, as well as news from Socitm.<\/p>\n
