It certainly has a role; the question is how much it can do, and how much needs to be dealt with by medical professionals.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/samathieson.com\/sa-mathieson\/nhs-direct-moves-from-0845-4647-to-111-the-web-and-apps\/\">NHS Direct<\/a>&#8216;s replacement <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nhs.uk\/NHSEngland\/AboutNHSservices\/Emergencyandurgentcareservices\/Pages\/NHS-111.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">NHS 111<\/a> has, at least initially, made heavier use of software, but is now making greater use of medical professionals.
